Build A Bear

Today we took the kids to Build A Bear for the first time.  They loved it!  Brandon is still carrying his Puppy around.  Daddy helped Brandon dress his Puppy and Mommy helped Katie.  They loved it so much I think we are going to take Katie and the kids there for Her Birthday.  Thanks Daddy for going with us, we all had a blast!

The Dino Museum

Today we took the kids to the Dino Park while Brandon is off-track.  I don't really know who had a better time...us or the kids.  Here are a few pictures I took.

Brandon's Class Christmas Party

Brandon had his Christmas Party today in Mrs. Taylor's Class.  He had such a great time with all his friends.  He is absolutely loving Mrs. Taylors Class.  Mommy helped out today with the snack table.  I love going and being able to share these special times with him.  Mommy still goes in every 3rd Tuesday to help out with his class.  These are such amazing little kids.

SWINE FLU HITS THE FREEMAN HOUSE

So we have had a really bad two weeks here in the Freeman House.  On Halloween night Brandon started running a really high fever of 104 and 105.  On November 1st he was diagnosed with Swine Flu.  If that wasn't bad enough Katie came down with it on Nov. 1st around 11:00PM.  We have been in and out of the hospital all week trying to keep the kids hydrated and so forth.  On Nov 3rd Katie was having a hard time breathing so we rushed her to the ER and she was in tachycardia.  I was so freaked out that I thought they were going to have to sedate me.  They got her heart stable and her fever dropped after 5 hours.  We found out that she also had Pneumonia on top of the Swine Flu. I no longer got her home when I found out Brandon was really dehydrated and hadn't gone to the bathroom all day...so off to the Hospital again I go and we were there for 7 hours. We found out that Brandon also had Croup.  It was a really long day!  After both the kids got I.V.'s that day they actually started getting a little better.  Brandon is still coughing and really weak, but Katie is doing lots better.  I got Pneumonia about 3 days ago and am not feeling so great, but it could be way worse.  I have to thank my Mother for going to the hospital with me all week, while I was so freaked out.  I appreciate all the support, you have no idea.  I also have to thank my wonderful friend Jana who was there for me while I cried (like a dork) and ralling some of the girls together to bring us dinner for 3 nights.  This was a huge help to me.  So thank you Jana, Dana, and Brooke for all that you did for us.  I truely appreciate the help!  So all in all we are on the mend and Brandon will start going back to school on Monday after being off for 2 weeks.

Halloween 2009

For Halloween we went to Grandmas house to go Trick or Treating and we had such a great time! I can't believe how big the kids are getting...slow down would ya.  This was the first year the kids went Trick or Treating together.  Brandon did well...He only got scared a couple of times. Katie on the other hand was amazing, but cried three times when people would answer the door in masks. We let her pick out her own candy, but she kept looking at me like "When are you going to let me actually eat one?"  She had a hard time letting go of the candy to put it in her bag...it seemed to go straight to her mouth. (she gets that from her mother)  At the end of the night she was actually saying "Trick or Treat" and "Thank You".

All in all the kids had a great time tonight and got lots of candy.  The normal crew went out to take the kids around the neighborhood...Brian, Mom, Dave and myself.  We always have so much fun taking them.  Brian and Dave thought it would be fun to take a picture of Brandon being mad because we were going to slow...what do kids expect, WERE OLD!

This is Brandon mad that we were going to slow...

Hope Everyone had a great Halloween 2009!!

Brandon's Halloween Party

Today Brandon had his first Halloween Party in Mrs. Taylor's Class.  I got a chance to go and help out with some of the games.  I love being able to go and enjoy Brandon having fun with his friends.  In this picture is some of his buddies. (left to right) Carson, Brandon, Robbie, and Jack.  I am so glad that he loves school.  Some of the games we did today in class were....Mummy Rapping, Mystery Buckets, Making Bats, Making Spiders out of ding dongs, and ball toss. Brandon told me today if I was mean to him, he was going to put me in jail! Sound like a vacation to me! Mommy's glad you had a great day baby! (Thanks Jana for the photo)

Brandon got his Yellow Belt

HE DID IT!! Brandon passed his test today and got his yellow belt.  I can not tell you how proud I am of him...this sport takes lots of discipline.  He is such a different little boy since he has started Karate and its all because of Mr Hatch (in picture).  He so great with the kids and I can't thank him enough for teaching Brandon how to defend and not attack.  There is so much more to Karate than that...The Respect and Courage.  I don't know how Brandon gets in front of all those people and does his routines.  I know I would not be able to do so.

Mr Martinez (owner and 6th degree black belt) is giving Brandon his new Yellow Belt.  What a Honor that is!

Today we had 27 people testing to get their new belts.  These are just some of the people testing.  Not only kids are testing also adults.  Brandon was the youngest one to test to get his Yellow Belt.  He did an awesome job.  Mommy had a hard time during the test...she cried like a baby!  We practice really hard to get our tabs and belts.  Mommy has to know how to do each technique, each block, each kick, and each punch.  This sometimes gets overwhelming, but Brandon practices and practices like a champ.  He is so dedicated to Karate that one time he was so sick and throwing up, but he still went in to get his tab.  I was amazed and so proud to be his mother.  I love you more than words can say my litttle man!
